Your Ego is addicted to your pain. It makes you live and relive the same painful stories, the same emotional habits. Change is so difficult because we often don’t see that we are stuck in these stories. We don’t see how we are invested in these stories.

This is where we bring in the energies of consciousness to create shifts in our perception.

My goal is to bring you into present moment. When Present, we generate a lot of energy that can release us from these stories and empower you to create a new story - a new life - for yourself.

For most of the people I work with, the goal is to get you below the stories you tell yourself, into the present moment, where the real healing occurs. We carry our histories, our traumas, along with us like old luggage. These stories exist within mind, body and energy systems. We get stuck in these emotional, behavioural and mental loops. We repeat the same feelings; the same fear, the same rage, the same shame.

My job is to bring you into the Now, Present Moment, where we can begin to disconnect from those stories and begin to witness our authentic self. In Presence, we can witness how much we follow and believe the stories our mind has been telling us. We can see how much energy we have given to keeping these stories alive. In witnessing, we begin to step outside of these thought loops. In Presence, healing energy flows, revealing truth, creating shifts of consciousness. We can begin to see how much we live in internal conflict. We can see how we have been applying the same solution to the same problem with no results for years. We can begin to see how much we have allowed ourselves to be compromised believing it was good for us, or that we had no choice. Through the work we bring in the healing energy of consciousness and gradually release layers and layers of stories, bringing is closer and closer to the present, closer and closer to our Selves.

Everyone has a different entry point for change. For some, a change in their body leads to a change in their mind, and emotions. For others, working directly with their thoughts, creates change in how we feel and how we move. Other people need to remove blockages in their energetic body to create transformation. While others work best when we blend our approach, working with a combination of mind, body, emotions and energies. The therapy style will differ for each person I work with, as your own unique needs, worldview, energies and mechanisms of change help us determine the most effective path.

To facilitate this healing, your work can range from a strictly Western psychotherapy approach (for more see the Why Psychotherapy page) to a more holistic framework, informed by Ayurveda, Yoga, energetic healing modalities, Eastern Meditation traditions, and other natural healing approaches. With a growing understanding of your goals and needs, we continue to expand and refine the tools we use for your development. What we eat, how we move, and our environment, are often significant in understanding how we think and feel and how we maintain or let go of our stories. We can consider a diet uniquely suited to you. Exercises, yoga routines, meditations, and supporting elements such as aromas and herbs can facilitate the movement of energy towards gentle healing and expanded awareness.

Throughout the process we will develop a relationship that will allow for greater exploration of self, greater creative control, and exploring new ways to live, love and learn.
